CCS64 3.0BETA 1.5
When I run CCS64 Beta 1.5 I get the message: "CCS.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point MakeCriticalSectionGlobal could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll".
I read in other topics the suggestion of re-downloading and re-installing Direct X. I reinstalled Direct X 9.0c and same message comes up. My video drivers are updated. The emulator ran fine when I had Windows 2000 but don't remember if I had a previous version of CCS4 back then. I have Window XP Pro now. Dell Optiplex, Pentium 3, 733Mhz, 256MB Ram. What is up here? Any ideas how this can be fixed?

Normally, this indicates some incompatibility with DirectX (DDRAW.DLL and/or WINMM.DLL). If a re-installation of DirectX 9 does not resolve the problem, then it is a compatibility problem with either your sound/graphics drivers (most likely graphics drivers) - see if there are more compatible versions available or use Windows' own drivers.
Kind regards,
Stuart Toomer.

Why would THIS emulator be incompatible when all my other emulators work fine. I don't see why my computer should have such a hard time emulating an 8 bit computer. This didn't happen until I upgraded to Windows XP. But like I said before my graphic drivers are updated with the latest windows and intel drivers.Stuart Toomer wrote:Normally, this indicates some incompatibility with DirectX (DDRAW.DLL and/or WINMM.DLL). It sounds to me like something could have gone wrong with the KERNEL32.DLL file while upgrading to Windows XP. If this is the case, though, then it should affect more than one program!
Perhaps DirectX isn't being installed correctly. If you have other programs that use Direct3D, it might be a good idea to make sure they still work.
Do you have all the Windows updates installed?
Also, do you have good virus protection on your computer?
