star commander .d64 image too large for real c64 disk

hi,

i got a large collection of .D64 disk images from a friend and i am trying to copy them to a c64 disk using star commander.

star commander works fine, but upon copying a d64 image to my 1541 disk drive, star commander claims that the file will not fit on the disk.

- can i "copy" a .D64 image to a disk in this way?
- how can a .D64 image be too large for my 1541 disk?
