Sly Spy and other 2 sided tapes

Post by Styxx »

I'm trying to play Sly Spy Secret Agent, but i can't get further than the bit where you kill the giant shark. I think the next bit is asking me to turn over to side 2, but the message is cut off at the edge of the screen. Anyway, it's either that or to insert tape 2, and i don't know how to load tape 2 or how to turn a tape over on the CCS64. (Obviously i could do it in real life :D ) Since i have only juts started using the CCS64 i imagine that i will have this problem a lot. Can anyone help? I'll send the ROM if you need that.
Cheers!

I think you just select the other TAP file, like selecting another D64 file.
Kind regards,

umm...it is a D64 file. The message i get is "SIDE2 THEN PRESS SPACE", which in my experience probably had "INSERT" before it, and is only a tape thing, i thought the cartridges loaded automatically but i never actually used a cart in real life.I tried loading all the bits in the file but none of them work.

Sorry, it's just that you mentioned "and other tapes" in the subject, so I thought that you meant it was a tape image (TAP), not a disk image (D64). So, you should be using 1541 Device 8 with D64's and Tape Device 1 with TAP's.
Kind regards,
