AVI recording

Post by DannieGeeko »

Hi Stuart,

I'm recording a lot of games at the moment with success but some like 720 Usa, Baby Monty, and Android 2 record but when I play them back there's nothing.
Don't know if this means the roms have been protected against this (God knows why) or if there's a fault, like not being able to record more than 5 mins or something?

Please help.

Thanks.

It appears that some compressors (i.e. codecs) don't work with CCS64 and produce a zero-length AVI file. In these cases, select the "Uncompressed" compressor instead in CCS64 and use another piece of software (like VirtualDub) afterwards to re-compress the video file that CCS64 creates using another compressor (since it will be very large, being un-compressed). I have noticed that this occurs with other software, not just CCS64, so it isn't really a bug with CCS64 as such. Another issue is that the Raw AVI files don't play-back with Windows Vista - this is a fault with Windows Vista's Media Player itself.
Kind regards,

Stuart Toomer.
