Pirates!-problem!!!

Post by Running Man »

Hello all C64-friends!

And now to the problem:

I have just startet using the emulater and I wanted to play my favorite

game (Pirates!), but when I have finished the first sword-fight, I am

asked to insert disc 2, so I press F9 and activates the second game-file

by pressing F4, when I go back to the game and I press ENTER and

everything seems to go fine, BUT only the usual information-screen

about cities and nationalities comes up (-you know what I mean if have

played the start of the game-) and it never comes any further - the game

refuses to load the rest - what is wrong or what am I doing wrong???

Please please help me - and thanks for all your help!

Try gamebases's version, found on this page:

http://www.gb64.com/oldsite/rare-b.htm

Be sure to read the instructions for use of Pirates! on that page.

I also loved this game. It worked fine for me, all though it does have a tendency to hang at various stages on load up. I found it works better if you use normal rather than fast load. the only problem i have have had is at the end when i go to divide plunder. It asks for side 1, which i then select, but it will not go further. If any one could advise on this it would be much appreciated.

Pirats!, errol loading disc #2

Post by kpapp »

Hi Pirates fan,

It may seems off topic but I still have problem when the disc #2 is required. I dowloaded the Eagles soft' Pirates! file from gb64, and read several FAQs and instructions but after the initial fencing it requires to insert disk side 2 and press trigger, but the gamee simply do bo go on. I use the game from gb64, which shoud not have this problem.
Any hints or option?

Thanks

I am informed that the version on my web-site works correctly.
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/stuart.too ... equest.htm

Remember to read the CCS64.HTM file that comes with CCS64 and also my CCS64 SUI:

Kind regards,
