access emulator options from fullscreen mode?

I run the emulator in fullscreen mode but I wondered is there a way to access the emulator menu (the File->Load and run option in partiular) without having to change the video resolution on the alt-v menu so I can see the window with file/view/options menu bar?

Press F9, then use the Textual menus.
