Saving with .TAP files (CCS64 V3.5)

Post by BOOTP »

Good Morning,

I have an issue with saving States when using .TAP files.

When I save a game using the menu, I select the filename and hit enter but CCS64 then crashes with the following error:

Application popup: CCS.exe - Application Error : The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000409) occurred in the application at location
0x004960b6.

However, when I reload CCS64 I can successfully load the State and continue playing! So the State did actually save correctly.

The other strange thing is if I use Quickload or Quicksave it works fine – no crashing at all.

Thanks for your time. :)

I've tested that with a TAP that I have of ACE, and the save-state saved and loaded OK.
Kind regards,

Hi Stuart,

Did you test the save by using the toolbar? If you are running in windowed mode you can click -State- and then Load... or Save...

The above method works for me too! The problem appears to be when saving via the menu (i.e. F9).

Thanks.

I always use the <F9> Menu system, not the Windows Menu system.

Can you post a link to where your TAP file can be downloaded? At what point do you make your save-state, when CCS64 crashes?
Kind regards,
