Printer Emulation - Does It Work?

Post by C64 »

I've just tried printer emulation for the first time, and while it creates a .txt file on my PC, the text file remains blank. Maybe there is an issue with the emulator's compatibility with this particular program. The program gives me the prompts and I tell it to print to device 4, but ultimately the text file remains empty.

You have to use all of the original commands. It does create a TXT file of textual output.
Kind regards,

I got it to work. What appears to be the problem is that the game does not dump any text until I close down the emulator. So I enter the commands, and the game sends the print job, but nothing goes into the text file. The only way text eventually shows up is if I exit the emulator. Then I can open the text file and it will be there. For the record, I don't have the text file open when the emulator is trying to print.
