Multiple game files .... why?

Post by unclet »

1) I found some CRT files and a lot of them have multiple files.

Examples:

MS_PAC_M.CRT
MS_PAC_2.CRT
MS_PAC_3.CRT

FROGGER_.CRT
FROGGER2.CRT
FROGGER3.CRT
FROGGER4.CRT
FROGGER5.CRT

Are these multiple files actually separate dumps of the games or are these multiple cartridges required to play Ms PacMan and Frogger? If they are all needed, then do I need to load them all at the same time

2) It seems a lot of the games for the C64 use different key mappings ... is there a way to force each of the games to use common keypresses, rather than having to switch KeySets for different games?

Looks like duplicates. I am pretty sure that Ms. Pacman only had an exe. Have you tried to launch one through the emulator?
When is the C64 gonna make a comeback?! LOL

Yes, it starts just like the other ones .... this is one reason why I was so confused ... I also could not believe "Frogger" needed so many files .....

I am pretty sure that each file is stand alone. Isolate one of them and see for sure.
