Blank error box and no sound.

Post by DrBongo »

I installed ccs64 on my Media center PC as it would be nice to sit on the couch and play 64 games on my Tv, But I have a problem. If I select Windows MCI wave the sound is terrible, and if I change it to primary or audigy 2 and press F3/apply an error box appears with no text and only the OK button. After this I get no sound at all. Does anybody have any ideas? Oh, and yes, all my drivers are up to date.

Spec: P4 2.8 , 1gb mem, Asus 6800LE, Augidy 2, Asus p4pVM motherboard, Media Center 2005 OS.

The Audigy sound drivers are well known for being poor. Is it perhaps a mutual-exclusivity issue with the sound hardware?
Kind regards,

I don`t think so as I have exactly the same soundcard and drivers in my main computer, and that works fine. The main computer is running XP pro as opposed to the media center running MCE2005. I think to problem lies with the media center`s OS, But I have no idea what! any ideas?
