The name was some classic 1930's name like Bert, Bob, Joe or whatever, goes skiing. It started off on a road which you had to cross (hopper style) and buy some skiis. He would then go down a skiing course going through posts and avoiding trees.
This would be a lot easier to find if I could remember the name...
