OK, make sure that a particular PC keyboard key isn't assigned to more than one C64 keyboard/joystick key/action. You may also have the UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT ARROWs assigned to something else (e.g. Joystick Up/Down/Left/Right). So, check and correct your Input... settings. I am sure that this is just a simple Input... configuration problem.
