Why is repeating keys disabled in walk mode?

I use the built-in monitor very much, and frequently the 'W' (Walk) function to do some serious debugging.
It's frustrating to notice that in the latest versions of CCS64 V3 (at least beta 1.2 and 1.3). repeating keys does not work with the W command. It works ok in CCS64 V2, you can just hold down a key and it allows you to step through the code at high speed. But in the latest CCS64 V3, I have to press a key for every line of code, and that is very frustrating when debugging loops.
