First I want to say thanks for this great resource!

I just recently got hold of the music from M.U.L.E. which was my all time favorite game. I was ablw to find sidplay and it works rather well.

Is there a way to create a wav file out of .sid files?

You can configure sidplay to write to a wave i think. You might also try Sidplug for winamp, and use wiamp's waveout feature. you will have to edit the fiel down though.

The version of SidPlay I use (it's probably a couple of years old) lets you select "wav" from the file types to "Save As...". The sampling rate, bit depth, and length of the wav file are specified in the options.

I like to use that feature a lot when I write remixes of C64 music. By muting the voices before I hit "Save", I can separate the voices into their own wav files so I can hear what each individual voice is doing.

Maybe I'll post links to some of my remixes later.
