Pausing the emulator resets palette color

Leaving the paused mode (using Alt-P) resets the color palette mode to "normal" although it still says "Use PAL palette" in the video options.
Pressing left and right in the same screen (= quickly switching to "normal" and back to "use PAL palette") shows the correct colors but pausing the emulator resets them again.
