What kind of gamepads are supported?

I'm just curious - I plan on using CCS64 on my XP laptop (Windows version of CCS64), and it has a few USB ports and a serial/parallel port as well. What joystick/gamepad device ports does CCS64 support, so I can purchase one that'll work with the emulator?
