The CTRL-key of a Commodore 64 is emulated by the Tab key on a PC-keyboard. So if a C64 program tells you to press ctrl+f, you have to press Tab+f if you are running it from an emulator.

I found a site years ago that showed the key emulation. I printed it but do not have a link. Is there one in this site? It may be useful.

There is a PDF file in the CCS64 V3 package that shows the keyboard lay-out.
