Competition Pro USB problem

Hi all,
today I received my Competition Pro USB and I immediately wanted to try it with the CCS64. But I have no clue how to configure CCS64 to get it running. Which mode do I have to select from the Input menu? How can I test whether the joystick is installed correctly at all?
