Ive downloaded the emulator, on a W98se system, and all the games I try to run in the recomended way, I have a big problem getting to run. They load so far as to the intro scree, pressing space is required, after this the screen goes back to the C64 dark blue screen, with light blue inner screen, with no cursor. Am I missing something?

I have the latest version of DX9 so I am at a miss what is happening.

Some programs will display a blank screen like this while loading data from the disk, or decompressing it afterwards. If you don't see the "READY." prompt then that may be what the computer is doing. Wait a minute or two and see if the program comes up.

Also, just in case, try Ctrl-2 (That's Tab-2 on the PC keyboard) to turn the cursor white. If a cursor becomes visible then there's probably an invisible READY. prompt right above it. Try typing "RUN" and hitting Enter. That might do something!

Also, make sure you are loading the program the right way... Use the "Tape" menu option for T64 images and the "Disk" menu option for D64 images, et cetera. If you select the wrong device then the program you're trying to run might possibly get confused when it tries to load something.

It's also possible that the games you're trying to run are corrupted somehow. If you got them all from one place, try looking for the same game elsewhere.
