Problem games I know of and how to fix.

ESI version of Racing Destruction Set. This is a bad crack. If you find that the game crashes after a load from side 2, it means that you needed to flip it back t side 1 before that point. yes, it's a bit buggy that way. the game tells you when you need to flip to side 2, but it NEVER tells you when to flip back to side 1. Or just get a proper crack.
Standing Stones. If this bombs after showing the yellow screen, you have a 1541 rom incompatability. Get a newer ROM.
Music Processor. Same ROM bug
Hydrax: Same ROM Bug.
Gemstone Warrior/Gemstone Healer. You've got a bad crack, or a c64s-hacked copy... get a better one. Also be sure to use a .g64 file as the data dik for gemstone healer.
Bruce Lee: If your copy crashes, be sure to set the video standard to NTSC. If it still crashes set ti to the *other* NTSC. If it still crashes, get a better copy.
Impossible Mission: If you are getting zapped from across the room, set your video standard to NTSC. Or just get a better crack.
M.U.L.E. If you can't see the mountains, then you need to adjust the palette for color 15 (grey)
Trolls and TRibulations. If you keep dieing at the start of a level, you've got a bad crack. get a better one.
Beyond FOrbidden FOrest: You need to pres a certain key to ge tout of practice mod eand get the monsteres to start showing up. it was either f1 or space i think.
Encounter: Switch to PAL, or get REM's re-release, which fixes that stuupid bug.
Shamus. If you find yourself geting trapped when playing the "BOND" map, it's not supposed to happen that way, you have a bad crack.
Drelbs: Ther are two good releases. the REMEMBER one and Jedi's crack. All others are bugged, including the original.
Castle Wolfenstein: Assuming you have a good copy (from before they put the protecction on) you need to run this without any sort of fastloader. Should run fine then.
Ballblazer: If it's playign much slower than you remember it, it's because you have the early version. Get a better one. This game is originaly NTSC, but was converted to PAL fo europe, so if ou havetroubler, switch your video standard.
Q-Bert: Change you reset pattern.
NOte: some games that use VOrpal will fastcopy fine on a real c64 with fast hackem. My copy of ballblazer was like that. but it still nees .g64 format for it to work in an emu.
This one isn't a game, but it's something I ran into.
Zipcode: the .d64 floating around will NOT work. EVER. you need to get the oiginal zipcode archive, and extracxt it to a .G64 image, and then it will work. The problem here is the disk ID issue. the .d64 format cannot store the ID codes that the zipcode disk needs, even though it's totally unprotected and will fastcopy on a real c64.
