Running the Prophet64?

Is it possible for the CCS64 to scan the PC parallell port for input signals and forward them to the emulator in a way that the user port would be truly emulated?
That way a user could build an interface between a real user port connector and the PC parallell port and use applications like the Prophet 64.
For those of you who dont know, the Prophet 64 is an excellent music program for the C64 and though it works on an internal clock the real power lies within the external sync option. By connecting a DIN-sync signal to the user port, the program plays along MIDI sequencers!
However, for this you must have a real C64 so my question is: would that be something of interest to implement in future CCS64s (and of course, is it technically possible?)
