Error

I keep getting an error when i run ccs 64 the newest version, the error says

direct 3d init failed-create device d3derr_invalid call
any ideas?

Try running CCS64 in 16-bit colour, perhaps change your Windows desktop settings also.

I get the same error (see the posting http://www.computerbrains.com/ccs64/for ... 89303d311a I made under CCS64 Usability Problems in this forum for more information). As I wrote there, I also get a message that there must be at least 65536 colors, which is very strange considering that I already use 16-bit colors.

I tried to drop the color all the way to 256 and changed the resolution to 800 by 640. No Luck....Let me try to get newer drivers. However any other ideas in my quest?

persistent error

Okay I have installed Direct X 9, updated my matrox millenium video card drivers and even adjusted the settingsfrom 800x600 upwards and 256 colors 16k, 24 and 32k - each time, opening the file (CCS.EXE) and I always get the same error: (see above posts).

grr... :evil:

So no luck. Any ideas? I am win2k with service pack 4 9everything is fully upi to date.
