Sound problem

Post by pooyan »

Hello, I've got a Philips dynamic edge sound card that I can't seem to work properly with CCS64. I've tried various settings, but it keeps constantly popping. (not while loading a game.) I was wondering, if there's any chance to make some kind of tweaks or should I try with different card? (soundblaster)?

hmmm... in the emulator options -> sound -> Sound Output : can you change there to primary soundcard or your soundcard ?

try different options and post again.

Uhh, edit: There are 3 possible settings: Primary sound driver, Philips wave device and Windows MCI waveout. There is slightly less popping with the primary sound setting but not much. The driver for the card should be fairly up to date..

I've had that problem when running CCS64 in a large window. It was running slowly and that made the sound pop. Shrinking the window to a smaller size helped quite a bit. Alternatively, you can try the full-screen modes.

Thanks, that seemed to be the case! Works perfectly now. Many thanks.
