emulator or commuter

Ok so I have tried the 64 Emulator
and can`t get some of the thing to work correct
and I rely want to use a joystick for my game`s
and the graphic is worse then I car remember as a kid
so I look at the amiga emulator on the net but cost to muts
so went to e bay and look for some amiga commuter
and you can get one for a reasonable pris 20 to 60 $
but the last amiga I hade was a amiga 500
so I ask is the 500 still a god computer for 20 to 60 $ ?
( or a 500+ ,600A ,1200 or a 2000 amiga I look for ? )
I just want it for game`s
