Logitech Atk 3 problems

I am having problems using a USB Logitech Attack 3 joystick. I went into input options in ccs64 both in V2.0 and V3.0. I made sure that the joystick was calibrated both in Windows and in CC64. Also, I made sure that joystick port 1 was selected as that is the only one that worked properly while calibrating the joystick in CCS64. While in the calibration screen I can move the crosshair around in the calibration screen just fine. However, when I play a game the joystick does not work at all. Any suggestions? This happens both with CCS64 V2.0 and V3.0. Anyone had this problem before? What do I do to correct the problem?
