Mail Order Monsters

I love this game, but can't seem to get it to work properly. The game loads fine and plays perfectly in Beginner and Intermediate modes, but Tournament mode fails. It asks me to insert an 'Owner Disk'. Obviously I lack one of these, so I creates a black .D64 and told it to format that. I waited, it processed, and then seemed to have an error. No owner disk. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
