This game I played 18-20 years ago. Although I liked it, I couldn't mark it name good enough. So, here we go. You have a 2D map that's separated into fields. There are five types of the fields:

1. your character
2. field that can be made empty (when your character passes it)
3. empty field
4. field with a stone that cannot be made empty
5. field with the wall. wall cannot be moved

interesting thing is that if you get an empty space under a stone, it will fall down, possibly making you another ways, killing you or (why not) trapping you. Does anyone have a guess? I will try to do some ascii art:


X - is the main character.
o - the stones
▒ - the fields that can be made empty.
█ - walls
spaces - emptied space

Boulder Dash is the game you are talking about, or one of its more than 1000 variants!
Unfortunately the copyright holder (First Star Software) doesn't allow the original game to be downloaded from there, but you can get a copy from PlanetEmu.net.

As K.C. said, it's still under copyright, because First Star Software (FSS) still releases games like this. They have a good clone named BoulderDash ME for mobile phone java, and they have 2 or 3 variants for PDA-s.

I am looking for a game I played a few years back. It involves a small white character riding a horse. When you mount this small white horse you are in a space like environment shooting things in space. You and your horse are able to fly around. The character has a sort of lance like weapon (almost like a prong) that he holds out in front of him while he is flying on the horse. My description is a little sketchy, I know. I think the background to this game was a brownsih color. Thanks for all the help!
