Alt + Tab woes. Any solutions?

I use Alt + Tab to switch to other windows while playing (usually walkthroughs or manuals or whatever I'm normally supposed to be doing when I'm actually playing games). When I Alt + Tab back, the Alt key is 'stuck'. That is, even though I'm not holding down the Alt key, other key presses are treated as if I were. This is MOST frustrating when I need to type something starting with 'R' (soft reset) or change a disk by pressing F4 (closing the window), both of which, of course, ruin what I'm doing! I don't suppose there's any real way to fix this, is there? It's EXTREMELY annoying!
