Exctract or run the "setup.exe" file????

Post by Zirconia Wolf »

Okay, I'll admitt it, I am not a programming guru! (Although I have re-writen/tweaked the various AI files for Zoo Tycoon, but that's another story! )

So..... Now that I have downloaded the (ZIP) file for CCS64 V 3.0, what's next??? (Yes, I have read the HTML documents in the ZIP, but they say NOTHING about installation, only using CCS64. )

Do I "extract" the CCS64 ZIP file (like I usualy do with a ZIP) and if so WHERE to?

I see that there is a "Setup.exe" file inside the ZIP.......do I trigger THAT instead of "extracting"? I also see 3 or 4 ZIP files inside the "main" CCS64 one. What do I do with those?

Also, do I need to create my "Game" folder (for all those .D64 files I've been collecting these past few days) anywhere in perticular....and can it contain sub-folders?

Yes, they ARE funky questions, but I've been told that I'm a funky person! Well, at least I'm pretty sure they said "funky"........

Anyway, thanks for the help!

P.S. Just so you all know, I have already paid my registration fee & recived my cool "key code" thingamajiggy. So I am serious about learning to use this amazing program!

Okay, I'm a moron!

Just had the installing instructions sent to me (wow that was quick! ) and it turns out to be something that I already printed out but was apparently to stupid to actually read before I posted the above plea.

(I'm thinking that it wasn't "funky", after all.... :? )

****sigh****

The really sad part is, there was a time when I honestly did know all the old Basic/SpeedScript/HTML stuff!

Oh well......at least I remember what LOAD"*",8,1 was all about!!!! (Once a Game Adict, always a Game Adict! )

Anyway, thankyou for the help!
