Hi all!
I've been trying to play this C64-game "Potty Pigeon" but all the files of that game that I've tried with CCS64 don't work. They seem to work with Vice but I wanna play it with CSS64. As soon as the first screen of the actual game appears, the game freezes and that's it. Please help me somehow to make this game work by giving me some technical aid or by giving me a link to somewhere where I can get a working copy of this game...or by any other means possible. Thanks for anyone who bothers to help me with this.
:)

Try to use the option Load (Normal) to load the game instead.

I tried these options:

1) file --> Load C64 files --> Disk Drive --> Device 8, Then I tried loading the game by pressing F2 (normal)

2) I tried writing Load"Potty Pigeon",8,1 and then typing "run" like in the good old times.

I guess both of those do the same thing. Anyway, the result was the same: a frozen screen as soon as the start screen appears. I've tried loading copies of Potty Pigeon from "Free C64 Games" and "C64.com" but all of them just give me the same frozen screen. Does that game work for you? If it does, where have you acquired your copy?

Aphamino is right. I have tried the Gamebase64 version of this game.

Potty Pigeon is a single file game, so it isn't very likely that the way it is loaded influences the behaviour.
And because the version I tried is a T64 image, setting Max 1541 speed to on or off will not make any difference.

I can't get this game working in CCS64 too.

I tried:
- Load the game with Max 1541 speed set to on and off
- Load the game by browsing to the PRG and press Enter
- Attach te T64 image and loaded manually
- Set the video standard in CCS64 to NTSC
- Used the Vice version of the ROMs (CHAR, KERNAL and BASIC)

But CCS64 keeps freezing just before the first screen is complete.

The game works perfect in Vice, with all video standards and with True Drive Emulation set to on and of.

So I think this is a compatibility issue in CCS64.

Oh darn! So I guess I can't play Percy the potty pigeon in CCS64 until someone has fixed the compatibility issue. Well, could someone please fix it? The sooner the better. I would greatly appreciate that.
Seriously though, is this the kind of an issue that will probably get fixed or am I just wasting my time waiting for the fix to happen? Because if these kind of annoying problems keep preventing me from re-living my youth I'll have to switch to another emulator. It would be a shame, though, because recording AVI-videos with CCS64 is so straightforward and easy...compared to Vice, at least.

Have you tried different Kernel/1541 ROMs?
