Greetings All,

Have recently discovered the brilliant CSS. Not being too technical, and apologies if this is kinda stupid, but is there anyway to connect an old 8-bit joystick, such as the Commodore joystick, to a modern PC (typical DELL pentium with XP)?

Failing that how do you guys play games with joysticks (I HATE using the keyboard).

Be very grateful of any advice you can throw my way - thank you.

Cheers,

Nick, (UK).

I posted this before but my account was deleted, so I will try one more time. You can use your old Commodore 64 joysticks with CCS64 by connecting them to the USB ports on your PC using something called a Stelladaptor, which was for sale at atariage.com as recently as a couple of months ago, although I'm not 100% sure they are still available. But if you can find them they work great, I have just had a problem getting CCS64 to recognize two joysticks at once.

Hey Trebor,

Thank you so much for the above - I now have the adaptor and an old Commdore joystick.

One more thing please, how on earth do you get CCS64 to recognise my joystick via the USB port?

Many thanks for any advice you can give.

Cheers, Nick.
