Post subject:  Problem with CCS64 v.2.0

Hello, I am experiencing the following problem..
In CCS64 v.2.0, after using it for a while, the colours get completely messed up (and I mean completely, the blue C64 screen for example turns green).. I noticed the following : on the video options screen, when going to colour saturation, the screen changes colour for a moment, then goes back to normal..

This is totally baffling for me, as I 've never experienced such a prob in the past.
Some sort of conflict maybe ?
Any ideas-help ?

I've never heard of this before.

The most likely explanation I can think of is that some other program is running that is changing the video palette... This would normally only happen if your main Windows desktop was set to 256 colours, and even then, it's not supposed to happen!

Updating your video card drivers might be an option.

If your BIOS has an option called "VGA palette snoop" then you could try disabling that, as there are reports (somewhere) of that causing video-related compatibility problems with Windows.

Alternatively, you could go into the CCS64 video options and select one of the "PAL" emulation modes, which use 16 or 32 bit screen modes instead of the 256-colour modes it uses otherwise.

This is all assuming you're using the Windows version, of course. If you're using the DOS version, consider switching to the Windows version of CCS64 2.0, as it seems to tend to be more stable in general when running under Windows. It's what I use (instead of 3.0 which still needs work) and I haven't had any real problem with it.
